Alwine Lois Hasselman

Alwine Lois Hasselman, 96, was laid to rest Monday, June 8th , 2020 at the Presbyterian Cemetery in Springfield, NJ. Alwine (who we all knew as Lois) was a lifelong resident of Garwood, NJ where she raised 5 children, Margaret, Barbara, Donald, Kurt and William with her husband Walter, who predeceased her. She worked at her family business Mende's florist, located in Springfield, NJ for many years as a book keeper. She was always very physically active with roller skating, gardening and walking every day. She enjoyed the theater and went to the Papermill Playhouse frequently. She was very involved in her church Calvary Lutheran, Cranford, NJ and was on many committees and enjoyed her fellowship and lived an example of her faith. She also enjoyed baking and made the best chocolate chip cookies. Thanks
