Alejandro Montero

Alejandro "Rey" Montero (49), passed away Saturday December 28, 2019 at 11:04PM at Summit Overlook Hospital surrounded by his family. Rey was born February 26, 1970 in Dominican Republic to Anibal and Beatriz Hererra-Montero. Rey was happily married to the love of his life Elibet Montero since June 21, 1993. They have been married for 26 magically messy years. They welcomed his first daughter and best friend on October 21, 1995 and then his second daughter and ballerina on April 18, 2005. He described his daughters and wife as the most important part of his life. He always strived to maintain a lighthearted outlook on life. Rey tirelessly worked his way up for more than 30 years to become the VP of Production at Taste it Presents. He displayed natural leadership skills and was loved by his second family. Rey never needed a reason to celebrate and host friends at home. Rey was a welcomingly warm man; who loved to spend time with his family, travel and eat. Rey's beautiful life will be forever cherished by everyone he had the opportunity to meet. He would want us all to remember his favorite Disney quote: "Hay mas Tiempo Que Vida…There is more Time than life."
Rey was survived by wife Elibet Montero, stepdaughter Lizabeth Bravo, daughters Diana Montero, and Beatriz Montero.
