Obituary for Aaria Dower Hunton Aaria Dower Hunton, 89, passed away on May 17, 2013 at home in Westfield, NJ, where she lived for the past 47 years. A memorial service and life celebration will be held on Sunday, June 2nd at 3 pm at the Presbyterian Church in Westfield, 140 Mountain Avenue. Born on August 5, 1923 in Athol, Massachusetts, Aaria lived in Boston and New Orleans before moving to Westfield. In New Orleans she worked as Choir Director and Organist at Parkway Presbyterian Church. A long-time member of The Presbyterian Church in Westfield, Aaria served as elder, substitute organist, and member of the chancel choir and handbell ringers. In addition to her musical interests, she enjoyed tennis, gardening, traveling, community volunteering, and entertaining family and friends. Aaria was the wife of the late John H. Hunton Jr. and is survived by her sister Lucille Sullivan; three children, Gail and her husband Wes, Andrew and his wife Anne, and Elizabeth and her husband Brian; six grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Memorial donations to two of Aaria's charities can be made to The Friends of the Westfield Memorial Library and The Community Food Bank of NJ. Arrangements by the Gray Funeral Home in Westfield.
